It might actually be way easier than you think! I just transferred my 24 month old into his own bed and room. We first started to just play with his toys in his room so he was familiar with it, read book play etc for a week. Than the 2nd week we’d do his nap in his own room and bed but I’d lay with him until he fell asleep 😅 after about a week of that we started to do his bedtime and me still laying with him until he fell asleep and now we’re on week 4 and we’re practicing me leaving him in the room alone

My son 2 and he’s always slept on his own since a baby now he’ll fall asleep in my bed and then I put him in his bed and he’ll sleep all night sometimes he’ll get in my bed . Once they are co slept it’s hard to get em on there own
