well Trish is quite basically his mom without literally being his mom. Dante was SA'd and has known Lady the longest, but there are implications that Trish and Lady are trying to make Dante settle down with someone. the ending cutscenes in 4 with Nero and Kyrie's relationship progressing. it seems Trish is egging on Dante to make move without outright saying, just as Lady walks up. but in Dante's mind, he likely doesn't want to settle because he doesn't want to vanish like his father, leaving spouse and potential child behind. he's never had rotten luck, he just has fears of attachment, and not being able to save them. it's why he was so reluctant to take care of Patty. she the closest thing he symbolically has to a child and he can't bare the idea of failing her.

True, I’m not really sure. I don’t understand why you guys shipped them but at the same time it’s kind of reasonable, but also not the trauma that Dante went through. I don’t think he would want to date anyone because of his trauma as he’s extremely avoidant to romance, but who am I to judge ships I just think that Dante himself is just really avoidant towards romance, and Tony Redgrave hooked up with a lot of women, but it was always just a one time thing he doesn’t do long-term whatsoever even when Lucia told him that she loves him he quite literally ignored that
