I think it’s probably because the voice also sounds quite neutral so depending what new they deliver there won’t be any confusion about which ‚side‘ the reporters are on or what opinion they have on the matter

Pretty sure people talk like to yes sound more clear. But by changing the pitch a bunch it gets a lot more attention from viewers and allows the speaker to highlight specific parts in each sentence.
