Thanos is not right. But not because overpopulation is good, but because killing random 50% of the world is stupid. Why should normal people lose someone cuz of his snap, while other people with idiotic ideas, like nazists, communists or terrorists get a chance to live? In my opinion, people with such radical opinions should cease to exist, not good people who help people every day
