I had PPD with my first child. I told my doctor and she referred me to a therapist. I saw the therapist a few times and then her and my doctor had a call and discussed a treatment plan. I could not have done all that at the time. I was fortunate and it was really just basic care.

When do you see someone walk through cancer alone…. my dad had family advocates that could help interpret what doctors said, simplify medical language and treatment plans and outcomes. A sick brain is the same thing. She was failed by so many people.
