My own mother called me fat 6 weeks after I had given birth to my second child. Safe to say nearly a year later and I have thought about that conversation every single day since it happened. How do you call your freshly pp daughter fat?

Literally had my baby via c section and less than two weeks postpartum my family were already making comments about my weight. They were semi positive like good to see you’re chubby around the face etc. I’m thinking, my body is the least of my worries right now. 🤦🏼♀️now I’ve gained weight and I’m waiting for someone to comment on it lol

Yasss!!!! Like what are we bouncing back for? Lol trampoline with our babies, maybe? “Bounce back” after a baby sounds nice… but honestly? It’s unrealistic. Your body just did something incredible. Your hormones are changing, your priorities are changing, and your body deserves time, not pressure. The goal isn’t to “bounce back.” The goal is to build back stronger. To feel confident in your body. To have energy to keep up with your babies. And most importantly, to be healthy, strong, and present for the moments that matter most. We don’t need to bounce back. We’re building forward. 💪🏼 Go Mamas!

I feel so much pressure to “bounce” back I have a 12 month old ,and 2 older kids but at 38 it’s so much harder and having my 3rd C-section. Social media makes it so mentally challenging these days 😭
