We tried both between Gstaad and Zweisimmen, and they offer completely different experiences 👇 🚆 1. GoldenPass Panoramic The panoramic windows are the star of this train — giving you incredible views of the Swiss mountains, valleys and villages along the way. 🏔️ We travelled Gstaad → Zweisimmen, which is a great shorter journey if you don’t want to do the full route. 🎟️ Booking info: • 1st Class fares from approx. CHF 45 depending on route/date • Seat reservation: approx. CHF 10 • Children under 6 travel FREE when accompanied by an adult • Panoramic services run on a limited schedule, so reserve ahead 👀 BEST SEAT: Travelling Gstaad → Zweisimmen? Sit on the LEFT-HAND side for some of the best mountain and valley views. ✨ 2. GoldenPass Belle Époque This one is completely different. Think vintage luxury, beautiful historic carriages and old-world glamour while travelling through the Swiss Alps. 🤍 The Belle Époque operates on the Montreux ↔ Zweisimmen route, with the full journey taking around 2 hours. Short on time? Do what we did and travel Gstaad ↔ Zweisimmen — you still get the experience without committing to the entire route. 🎟️ Good to know: • Belle Époque runs only twice daily • A First Class ticket is required for the historic First Class carriage • First Class: around CHF 58 pp for the full route • Swiss Half Fare Card: around CHF 29 one way • Optional seat reservation: approx. CHF 10 pp • It can get fully booked, so booking ahead is highly recommended, especially if you want a window seat 💡 OUR TIP: If you’re staying around Gstaad, you can experience BOTH trains using the shorter Gstaad–Zweisimmen section.
