@tazandmirko: We made a mistake in Zanzibar... and we want to help others avoid it 🙏💙 When we saw these beautiful starfish, we picked them up for a few seconds. At the time, we genuinely didn't know that taking starfish out of the water can seriously harm them. Many starfish rely on being submerged to breathe properly, and even a short time out of the water can cause them severe stress or damage. So if you ever visit Zanzibar, or anywhere else with starfish please admire them where they are. Take photos without touching them.
