@janinaabee: Her dementia means there are moments she may not remember, and the distance between us doesn’t make it any easier. But I’ll try to make every visit memorable in some little way, even if she may not remember it later. Because I know the rest of us will, and that’s enough. 🤍 Dementia is so much more than forgetting things. It’s heartbreaking watching someone you love slowly lose pieces of their memories, but they’re still the same person who deserves love, patience, laughter and to feel included.
