@abdqit: Black holes do not “suck in” matter passively, like crazy vacuum cleaners. They attract objects like any massive body, but their influence is manifested through their gravitational effect on the surrounding environment. #strongest #космос #blackhole #space

@￴ ￴ ￴ ￴￴￴ ￴￴￴ ￴￴￴ ￴￴ ￴:A black hole is one of the most mysterious and powerful objects in the universe. It is a region of space where gravity is so incredibly strong that anything that gets too close can be pulled toward it, and even light cannot escape after crossing its event horizon. Black holes can form when a very massive star runs out of fuel and collapses under its own gravity, becoming extremely dense. Black holes don’t actually go around the universe sucking everything up like a giant vacuum. Objects can orbit around them just like planets orbit stars, as long as they are far enough away. But if something gets too close, the black hole’s gravity becomes extremely difficult to overcome. Around many black holes, there is also a swirling disk of extremely hot gas and dust called an accretion disk. This material can become incredibly hot and produce huge amounts of radiation. Another amazing thing about black holes is that they can affect space and time itself. According to Einstein’s theory of relativity, very strong gravity can make time pass differently compared with places farther away. Scientists have also discovered that some black holes are millions or even billions of times more massive than our Sun. These are called supermassive black holes, and many large galaxies, including our Milky Way, have one at their center. Even though black holes are extremely powerful, they are still not completely understood. Scientists continue studying them to learn more about gravity, space, time, and how the universe works. That’s what makes black holes so fascinating. They are like giant mysteries hidden in the universe, and there is still so much we have to discover about them.
