Looking back at how Allah wrote our story, it’s crazy to see how every little detail was already planned out long before we even knew each other. It started two years ago when I led an event at her local masjid. She asked her friends about me back then, but nothing came of it. Fast forward to a conference we both attended—she started developing a crush on me again, while I was completely clueless, having no idea who she was! Eventually, she unmuted her profile, liked an Islamic trivia post of mine, and over a year later accidentally liked another post. The real turning point happened when I was invited back to lead another event at her masjid. Up until then, I had never seen her face. But Subhanallah, after eating, I happened to ask around for a napkin—and that simple moment led me straight into a small conversation with her mom. That was the first time I actually saw her. Knowing what I wanted, I shot my shot right away. I reached out to take the proper steps, and when she agreed, we created a group chat with a chaperone to get to know each other in a completely halal way. From meeting her mom at the jump park to going on our first official halal date, everything moved with so much barakah.
