I just read about this, how awful!! Some of these cops need better sensitivity training and taught about common symptoms that could look like intoxication. Imagine going through a medical crisis that’s so severe you can’t even articulate it, and this is how you get treated? Not to mention the fact that her tox screens were all clear BEFORE they arrested her for public intoxication, or blood sugar high enough to throw you into diabetic shock! I have a niece that’s been hospitalized so many times for this, and it’s terrifying to see how it affects her. I pray to god she never encounters cops like this
