What’s Inside the DL382 Mechatronic? 3 Filters Explained. • In this video, I briefly show an important part of servicing the DL382 transmission - removing the mechatronic unit and replacing the internal filters. • On many DL382 transmissions, the oil service is performed quite simply: the old oil is drained and new oil is added, while the filters are left unchanged. I prefer to carry out a more complete service by removing the mechatronic unit, replacing all three filters, and renewing the sealing elements between the mechatronic and transmission housing. • The main focus of this video is the DL382 mechatronic removal process. I will show exactly where the filters are located, how to access them, and how they are replaced. • There are three filters that need to be replaced in this part of the service. Along with the filters, all sealing elements between the mechatronic unit and the transmission housing should also be renewed. • In this case, four new metal sealing gaskets are installed. Reusing old sealing elements after removing the mechatronic is not recommended when performing a proper transmission service. • Removing and servicing the DL382 mechatronic is a delicate procedure that requires a good understanding of the transmission design and careful handling of the components.
