I find doing click and collect helps me save money! Because I can add the groceries I want and see the total as I’m adding food which stops me from overspending 🩷

Go to Aldi and a butcher, it will be cheaper… that’s what we do. Some weeks I spend $100 and we are a family of 3

If you wanna save serious money on groceries, look at the half price specials, and build your meals around them as much as you can. Compare your pricing always. If you shop in a centre with multiple grocers, for a few extra minutes, you can divide your time up to grabbing the cheapest items from each, or alternatively, you can click and collect these on the way home from work, daycare etc. We’re a family of 5 with 3 cats and 4 of those people eat adult sized meals, and we don’t break $300 a week for groceries, and that’s for absolutely everything we need. It’s definitely possible, it just takes more planning and effort than people are willing to do. If you’re serious about it, easy work :)

Spend a night meal planning around what’s on special that week. I got a notebook and wrote down all the meals we would eat with chicken, mince etc, so when I see chicken is on special, I already have a list of meals to choose from. Saves my mum brain!

My savings tip is Aldi 🙃. At this point I feel like I afford to can’t step foot in Woolies. Generic is fine. I can feed my husband and I for $90 a week. I also put the leftovers from dinner as his lunch.

Meal plan, every grocery week day before you go sit and write down your meals for the week then shop for what you need for those meals and household items you need only and obviously whatever Bette needs but I find sticking to a meal plan and shopping for those meals helps 🫶🏻

Bulk at Aldi and then Woolies for the few things you can’t/ prefer from Woolies. The only way we could cut down the $$.

Household of 2 adults and 2 children, we spend between $80-$180, usually around $120 per week. Shop at Aldi, don’t be afraid to buy home brand items, and buy based on what ingredients you already have, not what you want!!
