✨ Backyard Transformation: 5 Years, One DIY At A Time✨ If you’ve been here for a while, you might remember some of these projects… or maybe you even remember what our backyard looked like when we first bought our home. It definitely wasn’t the lush, green space it is today… Five years ago, all I wanted was a backyard where we could slow down, gather with family, watch our future children play, maybe grow a garden, and make memories together. But when we bought our house, our focus was renovating the inside. The backyard became something we’d work on whenever we had a little extra time or money. So we chipped away at it, one project at a time. Looking back, I’m so glad we didn’t wait until we could afford to do everything at once. The years were going to pass either way. Along the way we learned what worked, what didn’t, and even redid a few projects as our needs changed. But every project taught us something, and each one brought us a little closer to the backyard we’d imagined. I think that’s one of the beautiful things about creating a home—it doesn’t have to be perfect the first time. It grows and changes right alongside the people living in it 🤍 And somehow, it became everything we’d hoped it would be. And there’s still more projects to come!
