fyi HAMAS publicly wanted the destruction on israel since the 70s, so they did vote in HAMAS to exactly do that. but not every palestinian voted in HAMAS it was a very close vote between HAMAS and a female politician. i think the vote was in 2005 to 50%+ for HAMAS and 40%+ for the women ( i forgot her name my bad ) but it was really close
