@medicmommalacey: Mine was the guilt of having to pick up overtime: meaning even more time away from the ones I love the most. I thought then that overtime was our only way of making it by month to month. I can’t get back that time, but I’m making sure I have it now ❤️ #emslife #momsinems #paramedic #emslife🚑 #emsstruggles
Trying to do shift trades to make every ball game, recital, band concert, honor roll awards as a Single Mama. Teaching at 2 different colleges and working 2 County EMS systems just to make sure they had everything. 20+ years of night shift so I wouldn't miss so much of their lives.

Not EMS, but dispatch. Trying to balance sleep but still spend time with my spouse and kids.

Since I’m part time EMS only now, I just work every weekend. Which means 6-7 days a week I’m working and miss events in the weekends. 😭

Missing important events for kiddos and missing holidays! Then working nights, I sleep most days as well and miss days with them too.

Getting my husband to understand the mental load of motherhood is so much heavier after a 24hr shift.

🔥🔥🔥Absolutely! 🙌 Consistency becomes so much easier when you have a clear strategy and know exactly what to focus on. It’s all about working smarter, not just harder. 💯✨
