Probably because the writing of the characters is different. If you don't like it, you shouldn't blame the character herself, especially since Wanda has beautiful writing, but she got off to a bad start in Doctor Strange MoM. Spider-Man was simply well-written and remained a hero because in the comics he's a heroic and cheerful character. He's also the face of Marvel that all children love, so imagine if he became the villain, the children wouldn't be happy ;-;. But compared to Wanda, she has a tragic history and a manipulated life, which made Wanda (in the comics) a person, a solo heroine who was able to develop her potential. Her character is troubled by her mind and unstable emotions, and she was written in the 1990s comics, after all.
