The SA comment was so insensitive. Also it doesn't make sense, trans women are SA'd too.

I wish Trans women spoke up about abortion Healthcare as much as they talk about being more feminine or well versed than us.

I agree with you however she lost me when she doubled down and started calling anyone with an opinion a terf. Her intent is aggressive.

orange you glad to see me :
I mean, it could have been as simple as, "Trans women have such a beautiful and different experience of womanhood that greatly contributes to our combined fight against oppression", no one would have two shits to say about it. Instead, they chose to elevate one group over another, and I do think that was purposeful. Their opinion is their own, but I do think it's incorrect as stated.

The language used was horrible and reductive but I hate seeing people using it as an opportunity to be transphobic too

Unpopular opinion: Until E.R. clarifies their wording and/or until Drew stops calling everyone with an opinion a TERF, I will take at face value what they said. For YEARS, with different people 🍊👀 and scenarios, it’s been a constant “oh they didn’t mean that this what they really meant”, and honestly I’m burnt out. Literacy is important, the podcast just proves it

what really bothers me is how shes calling everyone who doesnt agree with her transphobic. there's no understanding, just defense

It feels like such a dumb overcorrection. Trans women are women. They are not “better” or “more” women. We’re all just women and all women have different experiences!

Why aren’t we expanding what “manhood” is?? Just a question.

Also neither of them in the clip are trans women and I can’t imagine all the discourse on this conversation is good for trans women as a collective

what really got me was they said cis women will say part womanhood is the fear of being SAd. which I've never met a single woman say that the fear of SA is what it means to be a woman.

The thing for me is I as a biological woman will never know what it feels like to be a trans woman, a trans man or a biological man. and the same is true for each group, but understanding each one's perspective separately does give you a greater understanding of the big picture.

Womanhood is liberating for trans women, but for most cis women, womanhood has been a fight to be seen as a human.

What does that look like exactly? How would trans women help women expand the meaning of womanhood?

Her response was disgusting tbh these convos are very nuanced but calling women terfs for being offended is only going to further the divide

I must ask why ppl think womanhood is defined by our biology because it seems regressive to boil womanhood down to “you can’t be a woman unless you suffer through the pain of periods, birth, puberty, etc etc”

And her response made it worse especially when she said “trans women identify with womenhood and femininity better than cis women”

Tbh I just feel like that conversation shouldn’t have a been a conversation lmao like why are they comparing trans woman and cis woman and pinning against eachother it’s just weird. We’re all woman and it’s okay to have our own experiences of womanhood.

Why are the same conversations not happening about Trans men and manhood on a large scale? Why is it so important to specifically re-define womanhood?

On the flip side, I never hear trans men try to one up cis men in their comparative experiences of manhood.

You’re right I don’t think the intention was to put women down. But the way Drew is responding to this backlash is absolutely putting women down, she seems completely unable to consider a point of view that isn’t her own.
