During freshman orientation, they made us find how much we’re paying to go there and did the math so you figured out how much money you were wasting every time you skipped to class

Not true.it depends on the major. For accredited programs we have to document student work so lots of graded assignments.

This does not apply to engineering!!! I was turning in handwritten calculation problem sets all the way to grad school.

9 times out of 10 there’s also a discussion post assigned to go with whatever chapters they assign you to read, too. I can’t recall a time when I was ever given chapters to read without an accompanying discussion post.

That and no one is going to ride your ass to turn stuff in. Your work is your responsibility. I will happily enter a 0 instead of a 50 (like our current school system requires for Hs teachers to do for missing work)
