@elite.recruiter: The part that frustrates me most about this is how much bad advice is still circulating from 2019. People are still being told to mirror the job description word for word, still being sold the white text trick, still being told that a designer resume with columns and icons makes them stand out. All three of those actively work against you now and nobody is going back to update the advice. ⠀ Here is what I would do this week if I were job searching. Save your resume as a plain PDF, open it in a basic text reader, and look at what comes out. If your contact details vanish, if your bullets scramble, if your job titles end up in the wrong order, that is exactly what the first machine sees. Fix that before you touch a single word of the writing. ⠀ Then go through every bullet and ask whether it contains a number, a timeframe or a scope. If it does not, it cannot be ranked against anyone. It just sits there being pleasant. ⠀ Two machines and then a human being.
