I don’t think some of y’all know where the word caramel comes from. The word caramel comes from the process of caramelization which is the browning of sugars past it melting point. This is where the main flavor profile comes from, all other ingredients are additives having different purposes

Did yall miss the “quick and easy” part? There r different kinds of caramel and different ways to make it, this is the old fashioned way! If u want a super tasty one add a lil butter and salt and move on!!!
