@channelnewsasia: Despite weakening as it made landfall in eastern China on Sunday (Aug 9), Typhoon Dolphin has urged Chinese authorities to evacuate more than a million people over the past few days. The strongest typhoon to hit China this year, it’s caused Shanghai’s two main passenger airports to cancel 943 flights. The extreme weather brought about by the storm had authorities in eastern and southern Zhejiang issuing the most severe flood alert.
