Exfoliation more often for my combination and aging skin. I use a milk peel 2X per week. What do you recommend for an exfoliator that I can use more often for my skin? I’m all in for your advice ❤️

My barrier is always annoyed with me! Rosacea is so challenging. But I’m trying my best. Inflammation is an easy trigger sadly. Simple truly is best. Right now I’m just using Azaleic acid as my only active. And I seem to be doing okay. The rest is just Vit. C, SPF and a good moisturizer. Nothing complicated. Sadly we’re all bombarded with a 20 step routine on this app lol 🤣

I often get people telling me that I should be hitting the tret and I’m always having to explain that I don’t need it. I’m getting the results I want with retinal so that’s where I’m staying for now. Doesn’t mean I’d never consider tretinoin but only when I feel like it may be needed. I don’t think there’s such a thing as should be doing in skincare (except using sunscreen, that’s a non negotiable 😂) it’s about doing what you need to for your skin!

Hi Emily, I’m a 61 year-old African-American woman. I’m currently using cerave hydrating cleanser looking for a new cleanser. I have oily skin. Some hyperpigmentation, acne on cheek at times, I’m not using a toner right now. Would like to start using one. If you could recommend a cleanser and toner, I would appreciate it. I’m also on anu azelaic acid vanicream vitamin C, epii double cream, the blue one and vani cream moisturizer, house of hur the yellow tube SPF. when I’m out of that I use skin 1004 Madagascar Centella. Any suggestions will be great thank you.

Hi Emily new follower here 🙌🏻 Ive just got the dose by VH alpha arbutin 2% Kojic acid 1% serum for pigmentation I’m a little unsure where to place it in my routine I use retinal for PM and azelaic acid AM your help is much appreciated 🥰xx

Yes! I am 45 and have really been focusing on skincare in the last year (yikes, late to the party). I just saw my dermatologist today and got scripts for tret and Azelaic. Slow and low is the goal. I have a skincare spreadsheet that I alter every other week just about. But I also listen to my skin. If it's retinal night and my skin feels tight or stressed, I focus on hydration and support and skip the scripted version. This is a marathon, not a sprint! 😊

How do I know if my skin is dehydrated & I think my routine is good. I’ve started with all of these slowly & now I’m introducing Azelaic acid at night. The only thing is I can c my pores more now than b4 not huge but I notice them now I didn’t b4. I already use AHA since I have dry skin can’t really use BHA. I already use tret & niaciminide. Is there anything else I should add? Oh and I’m 49.

I use tretinoin, azelaic acid, SPF, ceramide-based moisturizer, ferments, and peptides, my skin loves all these. But when I add vitamin C, glutathione, or TXA, my skin turns dull. Why? I’ve tried concentrations from low to high, but it still doesn't work.

How are you so brilliant with your communication?? I’m about a month and a half in trying out this content creation thing and I literally can not speak as eloquently when the camera is rolling as I can during a face to face conversation. I’m told I sound too scripted or I don’t look at the camera and it takes me at least 50 takes to film a two minute video….anyway all that to say, you are amazing!
