The first rep was my actual speed🥲I hadn’t trained legs for two weeks, so I was a bit nervous about going for my top set. That said, when I’ve missed a session, this is how I ease myself back into lifting: After a proper warm up (dynamic movements + three warm up sets), I go straight to the top set I feel capable of hitting that day and use this structure: * Set 1: 1 rep * Set 2: 2 reps * Set 3: 3 reps For deadlifts, I might go further (e.g. Set 4: 4 reps, Set 5: 5 reps), but for squats this was plenty, especially since two weeks ago I did 3 sets of 3 reps. The first rep was slowww, but sets two and three looked and felt much better! I study my squats in detail like my life depends on it (which it sort of does, since I coach women on how to lift).
