i think it is wrong to say he was the best player in rugby league. That Wigan side he played in had an array of talent that sometimes meant he was not selected. Having said that, watching his Rugby League highlights shows what a talent he was. But Martin Offiah & Vaiga Tuigamila were also world beaters.
