I’ve been completely covered and still had blankets placed over me because I was considered “too shapely” or “a distraction.” Sometimes what we call modesty is really insecurity, comparison, jealousy or envy. And if we’re going to preach stewardship of the body, let’s have the WHOLE conversation—including gluttony, obesity, health and self-control. Don’t scrutinize a woman’s curves while ignoring every other area of bodily stewardship. Teach modesty without body shaming.
