I heard Neal Degrasse Tyson explain that observing the particular requires interacting with it thus affecting the particle. I used to think observation was this external force collapsing the function but its when the particle get absorbed into the measuring device that collapses it. Not spooky action at all distant, and limit to our ability to perceive without participate.

Love this stuff! ❤️On a pedantic note, I would suggest not using the term _universes_ at the end though, as the Many Worlds theory addresses _worlds_ that "split" from their parent world at the time of measurement; it is not addressing the multiple universes separated by eternal inflation.

Wait…dont we have our own electric field that we emit…would it be our fields interfering..and us measuring…”the intention”…changes its activity because our field is now targeting it?

isn't it maybe a resolution problem ? That we need to refine our technology to be able to get a more accurate answer 🤔

Maybe it’s an actual wave? In the electron field. The problem is particles don’t exist as little cannonballs. And we only get what looks like one is because the detector pixel is huge compared to an electron.

If I two dimensional being sees a sphere as a flat line, it's likely the same thing. We are seeing something that is likely 4 or multi dimensional from our limited 3 dimensional perspective.

I have a very big question regarding this problem and the Heisenberg uncertainty principle. If I make a video about it, would you be willing to dissect what I’m curious about? The only source I have to *discuss* this with currently is LLMs, and that obviously just isn’t good enough.

I thought it was the same thing as the double slit experiment where it's forced to go the speed of light? by observing it, you essentially tie a string (light) between it and what's observing it. when not observed it's free to bounce around however it likes because it's not interacting with anything.

I have a good shot at it. The reason it occurs is that in any other universes where states are incoherent there is no observer to report back. So we only experience states where it is possible for us to exist and there is a path that continues. This is survivor bias. All states exist and what is happening is path selection through the answer space. (Block Universe). The states don’t “disappear, we simply traverse a worldline where they are no longer coherent relative to that worldline.

well many worlds is better in my view because we don't need to explain anything. we just say all possibilities exist as that's what the math really points to

if we simply treat the universe as the amorphous material it is, all the current "problems/crisis of physics" just wash away btw.

Science uses the word "mystery" because it sounds better than "ignorance". It's likely that we just don't have the tools or understanding to accurately measure the particle's exact location. We may be able to one day or we may never have the "correct" answer.

Kathleen Shamburger :
A different analogy would be it like being able to see the possibilities in a person if they achieved their highest and lowest potential and everything in between, and clocking them in that moment in time for who they are and what they are. What is that thing in that moment and what are all the possibilities it could be. It doesn’t mean it exists in them all it means it has the potential to. But what it is in the moment you observe it, is what it is in that moment you observed.
