Especially, for heterosexual ciswomen have a hard time letting go of patriarchy because it would require them to let go of their relationship with men and the acknowledgment of how they’ve been complicit. Letting go of patriarchy for me is taking responsibility for yourself.

Patriarchal systems and environments definitely do incentivize and condition bigotry which is a shame because I think there are many communities / allies that would stand up for women’s rights. I think toxic masculinity and just comfortability of shaming femininity in males is kind of just rampant in our society as well.
