I’m a licensed aesthetician and I use both medical grade and drug store products! Medical grade products go through a series of clinical trials and most times they contain higher acid concentrations (acids such as salicylic, glycolic, mandelic, etc…) to help target skin concerns better and efficiently. It’s a lot of trial and error because there’s some medical grade products that work really well w ur skin type and some that can be bad too.

Medical grade is a marketing term. Skinceuticals is good, but a lot of brands say they’re medical grade and it means nothing. You don’t require a prescriptions for it. It’s just really good really expensive stuff.
