I think Michael has some of the most complex personalities when it comes to GTA protagonists, and imo he's well-developed and while I enjoy his character I also sometimes dislike him but he accepts responsibility, shows remorse and gives Trevor a genuine apology which imo makes him better than antagonists, who are most of the times much worse than the GTA protagonists, and makes his betrayal of his best friend a little less worse, unless Trevor's mental state did deteriorate because he disappeared and this would result in his drug addiction, and if Michael kills Trevor this makes him irredeemable in my view. Michael is a great protagonist but he's not one of my all-time favorite but I favor him over Tommy, Toni and Claude.
