@itstherespawn: A developer called DVLPLONDON has created a new browser game that lets players drive anywhere in the world by using real map data. Hop.Earth uses OpenStreetMap and terrain data to build a completely drivable world that players can explore and race through. Players can select any location in the world on a digital map to parachute into, then summon a car to explore the area, be that their hometown or a random location on earth. The game is still in development, however, leaving a lot of areas with very basic terrain and a few bugs here and there. The developer’s latest update has been to add a work-in-progress ‘night mode,’ as well as improvements to roads and textures. DVLPLONDON said that the goal is to create something that looks like ‘Need for Speed + Google Maps.’ #gaming #needforspeed #driving #pcgaming
