My husband open up our daughters a Roth IRA with money from the first job that they had as teens. They didn’t make much money so he would use his own money to max it out. Imagine starting on your retirement when you’re like 14.

I was in Metco as well, I believe they’re looking for alumni’s to mentor students and to talk on panels! I wish I had this knowledge when I went to Brookline. I didn’t start my Roth IRA until 4 years ago when I was 28. I think you should teach the students financial literacy/ education!

Wait! I’m just realizing you are local to me. Do you do talks to youth about financial literacy, middle/high school? Something beginner and engaging? I would like to bring another person in and teach students more about financial literacy.

Wow....sound like you just got another job opportunity to teach finance literacy to HS kids. GREAT JOB strongly encouraging these young girls to invest at 18yrs. I only wish I would have done that early. I do day trading now, but of course the market is up's & downs everyday. Oh btw, what ever happen to your summer finance camp program. I think that's an EXCELLENT IDEA. 😊
