All of these are literally just SWE renamed to be more trendy. Most “AI Engineers” are just building software using GenAI, and FDE is just a fancy way to say Solutions Engineer

where are these forward-deployed AI engineer roles being posted? cuz it sure as hell isn't LinkedIn. I have experience being a Ford deployed engineer before AI, and I picked up how to do AI prompting and use products like cloud code and codecs. But I sure as hell am not seeing the roles for it

I think it is FDE but people don’t know that is the name of it. They are doing the work as automations for small businesses by upgrading their legacy systems to use AI but they don’t know what they are doing is called FDE.
