Monday❌ :
I think you’re missing a major piece. When women can financially take care of ourselves, it doesn’t mean we suddenly want a man who makes substantially more. It means money is no longer enough to make us accept an unequal relationship.
If we already have financial security, a home, and peace, we’re not looking to work, raise children, carry the mental load, manage the home, and then mother another adult. We want emotional maturity, presence, communication, shared responsibility, and genuine partnership.
The better question isn’t, “Why do successful women only want the top 15% of men?” It’s: “Now that women don’t need men for financial survival, what do they need from a relationship?”
For many of us, the answer isn’t more money. It’s a man whose presence makes our lives better, not our workload bigger.
