lol. The further you went the more I hated it. By the 3rd one it was nearly impossible to see what I actually ordered.

It’s a 10/10 to designers, not an end user. The 1/10 is what we want as a customer.

This is why we need actual customer discovery and feedback. This is a marketer’s ideal email. A customer does not want any of this. The comments here show that. They won’t read, they want tracking, cost, refund policy.

This is why UX is important. Users want a confirmation message not a 17 page essay with more advertising. The 10/10 is utter marketing garbage and hides 99% of the content the user wants behind slow loading graphics.

No offense but the 1/10 is a 10/10 for me. I don't want all that other bs when I'm just trying to get my tracking.

Hi 👋🏻 as a “experienced online shopper”, I would only buy from 0/10 and 1/10 shops. I need confirmation of my item, not the history of Roman Empire . Regards

this is satire right? you reversed the order didn't you? That 10/10 one is horrible, I can't even tell what it's supposed to be, what did they buy?

all of these suck. you’re turning transaction emails into marketing and it’s just pure slop that annoys customers, not bring them back. also, fancy shit like this does not work well when it comes to optimization and display across all email providers. don’t listen to this guy lol

I hate cluttered corporate pseudo-familiarity communal nonsense. I want my receipt not a lesson in ethics and marketing to sift through to find the details on what I bought.

Second one was the best. No one reads all that stuff. Most people only check your order email like 20 times to see where their order is. They don’t case about the other stuff

Yeah so this is transforming a transactional email into a marketing email and that’s a no no. It’s also not a very customer centric approach and what happens when marketers just ask how do I do more marketing instead of what does the customer need. I want my order and tracking information. I don’t need a personal essay and all this other garbage. It’s clutter and a paper cut.

I disagree. The 10/10 order confirmation emails are primarily plain text without images sent from a reply ready email, outlining return info, giving a timeline for shipping info, and including a simple spreadsheet like table outlining purchases / quantities, product ID’s/SKU’s, and anything else that can be searchable by LLM’s since Gmail changed search functionality. No one reads the confirmation emails or cares about brand culture in that context. They just rely on the info provided and knowing they can easily reply with questions if need be.
