We only work with three things: pipe, wire, devices. In that order. Different sizes but all the same. Run the job in that order and you'll be fine.

I took care of my sparkies , when they are responsible for back filling and compaction. I don't have time for failed compaction testing done in 6 inch lifts . I need to roll in now so on my jobs I will have a huge pile of pea gravel, I have them shade there conduit, sleeves , pipes etc . I come in with my eq. my people at my expense .pea gravel in a trench is considered to be 100%compaction the electrical contractors and there people move on to the next spot . I eat the cost cause it is small money compared to failed compaction tests that can kill the schedule. labor types of soil and what it takes to get your compaction in 6 inch lifts is not what they do best . my peps roll in backfill there open trenches with peagravel it goes fast as hell , no testing no delays , I can make up time on the dream sheet in the office (schedule) it moves the electrician s ahead I get my subgrade work and capillary fill plastic sand and my iron workers will run there steel right up my ass if I don't get out of there way . I have now got electrician ahead of schedule iron heads in early . concrete pours are scheduled and poured now the wood butchers are on a foundation snapping lines and cutting plate. My electrician s thank me every time now they will jump on any un foreseen fave I may ask of them . if needed iron heads got there tonage in we are FUCKING ROLLING BABY . it may have cost me a little for peagravel and tractors and labor ers hours but that is small money spent and it is a major move ahead on a big project. time saved matters . the sparkies saved a lot of money that would have been spent on testing and labor they are ready to help if I need them . my iron heads might actually have a little smile on there face ( you ain't supposed to see it cause theye are asses and hard to get along with (LOLJUST KIDDING) kind of .think about the good that comes from me spending a little money . you got a job where the general and subs are working with each other on the same page on the same schedule. Better than butting heads , work is getting done the possibilities of making or beating the schedule is at hand . 😁

I wish. As an MEP foreman. They want 2nd floor done. Then up to 3rd floor. But only south side. Then back to 2nd. Then first floor. Save mechanical room for last. This jobs been weird as hell for me.
