@velvet_paradox_: standing on a stage for the first time was scary i thought i was ready for practicing over and over heard my name through the speakers and went out on a stage then my brain said, “absolutely not.” 😭 i froze. I forgot parts of my speech. I felt every ounce of fear I thought I had already conquered. But I still walked onto that stage. And when I had the chance to sing, I chose to do it not because I wasn’t scared, but because I was. I started preparing weeks before, and somehow the biggest lesson wasn’t about the competition. It was about meeting a version of myself I hadn’t seen before. Nothing really prepares you for a stage like actually standing on one. i walked away with more than a performance. I walked away knowing that confidence isn’t the absence of fear it’s choosing to move while your whole body is telling you to run. Still learning.
