@proteinsnap_app: Is chicken protein raw or cooked weight? The 31g per 100g figure everyone logs is the COOKED number, and the raw number for the same breast is about 22g per 100g. A 200g raw breast cooks down to roughly 150g because it loses about 25% of its weight as water - the protein total stays at about 45g either way. Weigh raw, log the cooked figure, and you record ~60g while eating ~45g: about 15g of phantom protein per meal, or ~30g a day across two chicken meals. For an 80kg lifter that is roughly a fifth of the 1.6-2.2 g/kg band, which is a real problem when you are bulking and macro tracking. Yield varies by cut and method, so treat 25% as typical, not exact. Both states are correct - just be consistent. Which state does your scale actually see, raw or cooked? #highprotein #macrotracking #mealprep #bulking #highprotein
