Data centres in England use an estimated 6.6 million litres of drinking water per day or 0.2% of all non residential use. Around 2.8 to 3 billion litres per day escape from leaky pipes maintained by those water companies across England and Wales or around 400-450 times as much.

Been saying this for months now because I lived in an area where the water company had to tell the council that the houses they were planning wouldn’t have water
