these were my favorite production material on animes they provided, they were so helpful, called them "drawing precaution sheets," and i thought back then man i wish we had these in western projects, but of course they'd originated here 💀

model sheets were usually just examples to copy, because no one should make their own work cheapier and easier to replicate under capitalism, this was about extracting and replicating the thought process and intent behind every design choice and stroke, it's genius but it helped Disney exploit a lot of artists

style guides arent new although i dont know her contributions she didnt revolutionize artists sticking on model. animation had at that point probably 100+ years of experience
