@jesskbacon: Welcome to the episode 1 of a girl going on 30✨ Ahead of turning 30 next year, I’ve been feeling very reflective about why turning 30 feels more like a deadline to tick everything off from my to do list than an exciting life milestone. I feel this immense pressure to wrap up my twenties, progress in my career, personal life and rapidly be the “grown up” I always thought I would be, when I think actually growing up is maybe accepting that life doesn’t arrive on schedule. Everything has its own time and that’s part of the excitement💘 Does anyone else relate to this? #twenties #thirties #midsize #13goingon30 #adulthood
Turning 30 in January and had a full break down to my Therapist about how I’m mourning the life I wanted by now. It’s caused me to open up and talk to family about where I see myself in the next couple of years.I think also being a childless women who wants kids is scary as your told your a geriatric mother past 30 and all the health risks🤦🏼♀️Ultimately us nearly 30 year olds have got this and ready for our next chapter💃

Started meds at 26, uni at 28 and therapy at 30. Trying to heal over a decade of awful mental health one day at a time. I’m not setting any more deadlines, just working towards a better future.

You wrote and published a book by the time you were 30! That's such an accomplishment. Some people have houses, some people have kids, some people have careers, some people have happiness. Not a lot of people have them all. I'm 35 and other than my house, don't have any traditional accomplishments but I'm really happy where I am!

I also turn 30 at the end of next year but honestly all I've concluded is that I love the things I did when I was a kid again, but this time unapologetically, with no shame with it. I'm luckily in the sense that I'm in a long term relationship and engaged, and we've just bought a house but I can assure you, we don't have ANYTHING together and anything sorted out - but I'm happy, and I think that's what's important
