I broke up with my avoidantly attached guy back in May (just over 3 months ago), but I've stayed in contact with his mother the whole because we got very close and became really good friends. This weekend she let me know that my ex almost died this past weekend and is fighting for his life right now. I have done a lot of work on healing from the relationship and the break up, but a part of me still loves him and it is taking everything in me not to reach out to him... 😭 I had a dream that he called me from the hospital last night then tried to leave the hospital and died. I am not okay right now. I've also been seeing visions of me at his funeral for a couple of weeks now. I'm freaked out rn. sorry about dumping this all on you, I just really needed to vent 🥺

this is so helpful haha, i literally lost someone very important to me a week ago because he realized he wasn’t ready for a relationship. at first in my head, i was thinking “right person wrong time, things will be fine, we’ll be back”, but now im trying to accustom my mind to a possible permanent life without him :(

Like when did you accept he’s not coming back and you have to become open to finding someone else and how did u become attracted to someone new if you’re still hoping for him to come back?
