I’m a caregiver for the elderly and took care of many dementia patients and they all wanted to go home not realizing that they were home..so i would say, “ok I’ll take you home dear “ so i would get them in the car and drive around the block a few times and pull in their driveway and say “ok you’re home now “ and then they would calm down…

I am learning that sometimes when people with dementia get agitated it can be something as small as an infection. Check with her doctor and let them run some tests and I pray that your grandma will be able to find relief along with you all to find some relief.

think of something she enjoyed and guide her to those things to help her divert her mind from being upset about not being able to remember. prayers for ya'lls family.My Granny and my Daddy both had Dementia before they passed. We cared for them both at home too.

I hated having to put my mom in a memory facility. she became violent and I could not take care of her I took care of her for 5 years. its so sad and overwhelming.
