as a skater, unfortunately our skates wont allow us to balance like that in a spin :( if it is possible someone would have to spend an ABSURD amount of time getting the hang of it

as a figure skater (18 yrs on the ice) and former national rhythmic gymnast, i tried, its almost impossible, you have to rotate incredibly slow to keep the needle pivot up, partially because of the centripetal force, partially because the balance point on a pivot is different than in a spin

So basically an A-frame (which is already hard) with the leg in a split position, I don’t think it’s possible, wayyy to hard to control and stay in position

i used to do rg and my leg on my camel is so high almost in a split and my coach always corrects it i could maybe try to attemt these spins but I think a needle spin is diffrent than those in the vid
