Yeah that would logically not follow being that a God would have to be all loving/good (Omni benevolent) if your looking at specifically at a monotheistic model due to the fact that a lack of love and Goodness is in turn an imperfection and an actual lacking and in classical theistic systems possessing a monotheistic God, that God is a maximally great being and also Ipsum Esse Subsistens in turn this being cannot lack any intrinsic perfection of which being not all loving is in opposition towards and the mirrored counter argument doesn’t work because malice hate etc are simply privations of a beings you can’t pick and choose aspects to accept you have to logically analyze them this is why it’s unanimous in classical theistic circles from Muslims to Christians to Jews that God would be all good
