@therealfaevur: One of the many inspirations of this song was when I was interviewing people at the first ever Holoholo Festival on Oahu! While I was interviewing people I met this uncle who was telling me the history of Bishop Museum and what it means to “Hawaii Nei” I’ve been so fascinated at Hawaiian culture and have been blessed to learn about it but had never heard that phrase until now. I later learned that Hawaii Nei means “My Beloved Hawaii” although im not from here I’ve formed a deep cultural bond to these islands. I also know that this phrase ties back to deep genealogical roots ancestral voyaging and the beautiful history of the nation of Hawaii! So later when i heard the phrase “It’s a Beautiful Day in Hawaii Nei, everytime i hear that it overfills me with so much joy cause not only does it tie back to the deep cultural history of hawaii but also means that no matter what your going through in Hawaii, you can always choose to have a beautiful day no matter what ur going through good or bad.. Having a Beautiful Day in Hawaii Nei is a choice and I hope when you hear my song “Beautiful Day” by FAEVUR you choose to learn from the people of Hawaii and have a beautiful day no matter what!
