These people are so funny acting like merely divorce creates children with poor interpersonal relations or whatever lol. My parents stayed married when they shouldn’t have, to the point where I’m not putting myself in the dating market to begin with 😂😭

To push back a little, if you have divorced parents you’re at a higher chance of getting divorced yourself than someone who grew up in 2 parent households. I am not sure if the newer gens couples are staying in their toxic marriages like their parents did, probably though. I do think you have a lot more self respect if you leave & don’t gaf what the community thinks. That’s the toughest part, at least for me.

It’s true, kids from divorced families can be screwed up. But it isn’t necessarily the divorce, it’s the lack of love, stability and attention that can come with it. When kids don’t feel loved at home, they may grow up seeking that validation externally, often through social media, attention and recognition. Which isn’t wrong, but it can create someone who struggles to be a stable partner.

My parents divorced when I was in high school. They were constantly fighting so it was for the best. In a perfect world no one would get divorced but we live in reality where some people are not suited to be together and that’s fine. Live and learn.

people who see divorce as a negative thing instead of looking at it as the positive solution for an incompatibility problem are kinda red flags. so, their mindsets are helping u filter out the weeds. also, u look super gorgeous bestie😍

Divorce rates are higher now because women finally don't have to be 100% financially dependent on men, which is a great thing. It means persons who are in a relationship now are actually choosing to be there and value the relationship

Honestly i feel anything beyond one’s control really shouldn’t be used against them such as divorced parents shouldn’t be a reason to not like their child, its not like its rly in the child’s control

It’s those ridiculous stigmas that are constantly perpetuated in our culture… Ik a lot of ppl that were grateful their parents separate and made the choice to spare them of any family drama. Good for you!!
