The only actual Ridgewood thing you visited was Rudy’s. Everything else is considered hipster and not Ridgewood. If you want to visit neighborhoods, you actually have to go to the places that have been there long enough to know what the true place is all about.

jackson heights/corona, forest hills/kew gardens/rego park, astoria, ozone park, richmond hill and parts of fresh meadows have some of the best food (and people) in the world!

I was raised in ridgewood and it’s actually crazy seeing how many young people from others states have been moving in and just building overpriced cafes and shops. Our area used to be filled with older European immigrants. A lot of Polish, Russians, Albanians, then there were quite a bit of Egyptians and of course Hispanics, now half their stores are gone, half the people who lived here either passed away or moved out and now it’s just becoming another gentrified “gem”
