They literally just announced disk to digital, where you put the disk in the console and it will give you a permanent digital license. This was also confirmed for helix as well, so we know it will have a disk drive. This must be an old podcast ep.

If there going to make it almost impossible to find physical copies at stores they might as well just remove discs in general but lower the cost to buy a game digitally. Games should be less not more if your taking physical away. Maybe People would accept it a little better. The problem is they are getting rid of physical copies and price jacking the cost of games.
